I recall a ride he gave my brother and I from Blantyre to Chikwina on our way to Ruarwe for holidays. We spent a night at his house (a mud hut)on his coffee farm before we headed off on a walk home because the roads did not get to Usisya then. I vividly recall this national leader and a member of the Legislative Council as a humble human being who showed genuine care for the aspiring secondary school students and leading them by example. I cannot completely recall and comprehend how inspiring those moments were to me and my brother. May he rest in peace! Cromwell P. Msuku, MD
